I just realized how incredibly long it's been since I've posted any artwork I've done!! How did that happen? So I finally got together a sketchbook work post and there's a lot. Although my updates on my sketchbook have been lacking I have done a lot of work in it (and some bigger works that I will post on soon as well). Enjoy and comment and let me know which were your favorite and if any inspire you!

These sketches are AMAZING! *cries because I was born with no artistic ability*
ReplyDeleteI think that my favourite one is the mermaid, she's so cute!
Aww, thank you so much <3. I have full confidence that NOBODY on the entire planet is devoid of artistic ability-- don't let challenges stop you, practice makes perfect! I love the mermaid too- she's my favorite because I LOVE MERMAIDS!!

Hi Vivian! Your drawings are really really awesome! LOL same like Emily, - I was born with no artistic ability-, and i always interested to see someone's sketchbook because it's very amazing and i wanna do it too. I tried million times to draw or just doing a doodle but i can't..haha..
ReplyDeleteOkay so maybe that's really not my talents kkkk~
Hey Hana!!
DeleteFirst of all thank you so much, your comment means so much to me <3
Second of all START A SKETCHBOOK!!!!!! You can do it! Just so you know, the pages I post on my blog are only a few out of my very messy, very incomplete sketchbook. Not only do I have plenty of pages I deem terrible now, my earlier sketchbooks were frankly the worst in my opinion. The point is, you can't do it without practice. I spent and still do spend hours and hours copying out of art books and pinterest, and studying the way things look, trying to best capture them on paper, and most most of all drawing drawing drawing drawing. Just sit down and do it. It might not be amazing the first, second, tenth, or hundredth time. But eventually you will make something that you think, 'wow, that's not too bad'. Plus, artists always judge themselves harshly, chances are your work is actually amazing ;). I have full faith in your artistic abilities. Don't let you stop yourself, if you want to be amazing at something, GO DO IT!!
haha sorry for my rant I get so fired up about art and creative people. Thanks again <3
Love these! My favorites are the flower details and the mer kelp.

Thank you so much Ellie! Always bringing a smile to my face :)
DeleteThis is such a cute post. I recently bought a sketchbook and have been working on doodles. What I really wanted to focus on though was water painting and architecture. In my attempts to get started, I've ended up doing random other things that I've also posted on my blog. But it's a sketch book (a big, A4 size pad) and what I'd really like was an art journal so I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a decent journal to buy that can handle rough and tough water painting :)

Ooh, yes, I am on the search for an art journal sketchbook as well (I am nearly finished with this book). I will go check your blog as I'd love to see your sketches! Thanks for the comment!
DeleteWhat an amazing post! Beautiful drawings!
