Gesture Drawing

A little while back my art class took a day to practice figure or gesture drawing. Gesture drawing is one of my favorite parts of art class, and I was disappointed that we didn't get more time to work on it. But I feel that my sketches turned out well, and thought it might be fun to share them here on my blog. Take a look!

  1. This is really nice! I really like drawing postures because it's so cool, using the little circles for joints and the long ovals for limbs and drawing out the skeletal framework. It just fascinates me a lot!

Second of all-- do not feel worthless! I want to inspire you! Figure drawing is great because you can start anywhere- get some soft pencils or charcoal and start drawing- I promise you will see improvement. I believe in you ! <3

    1. Thanks Nicole! Give it a go if you get the chance, it's really fun and loosens you up. Plus, it's super low pressure since it's so flowing. Thanks for your sweet comment <3

  7. This work is incredibly gestural and expressive with varying use of line weights which captivates the viewer! I love these!
